Welcome from the Headmaster
A very warm welcome to Faraday School.
I am delighted that you have found your way to our website, the online home of the youngest New Model School.
Founded in 2009, Faraday is a small but growing private school in East London located on the inspirational setting of Trinity Buoy Wharf. Currently educating children in Reception to Year 3, Faraday will welcome a new Reception class each year until we are a full Reception to Year 6 primary school. Indeed I hope Faraday will also be able to offer a Nursery in the near future.
Here at Faraday we offer a traditional approach to primary education with a strong emphasis on the core skills of literacy and numeracy. Although we believe in a traditional approach, our lessons reflect modern thinking on how children learn most effectively and our small classes and quality staff allow for a very personal approach to learning.
Although we feel literacy and numeracy are important, our curriculum is broad and stimulating including specialist teaching in French, Music and Physical Education. Our aim is to educate the whole child through a rich curriculum with many stimuli in order to support an atmosphere of life-long learning.
Faraday continues to blossom and grow to serve the needs of modern family life. Children are welcomed at 8.15 a.m. and we offer a late club for children staying after school until 5.30 p.m. The academic school day runs from 8.45 a.m. until 3.30 p.m.
We have also recently opened a range of after school clubs offering hour long sessions in Drama, Sports, Spanish and Art. To help working parents, a private school bus runs before and after school from Canary Wharf making pick-ups and drop-offs along the route.
I hope that Faraday School has stimulated your imagination. Our website can only give you a small taste of what we do and our hopes and aims for the future, to find out more and perhaps see the school in action, please do contact us to attend an Open Day event or a receive a personal tour.
I look forward to seeing you soon !
