Welcome from The Chairman
We are very proud at the New Model School Company to be celebrating our 20th anniversary in 2024. We have grown from just two pupils in 2004 to over 300 children today across two school sites in North West and East London.
The Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) rated Faraday ‘Excellent’ in all areas at the end of 2022, which means both of our schools have the highest available rating from ISI, a testament to all that has been achieved by our wider school communities. This award of excellence pays tribute to everyone involved, from our amazing teachers to our supportive Friends associations to our head office staff and our directors, advisors and academic leaders who oversee our ambitious curriculum.
It is also worth noting that we have achieved all this while consistently charging fees which are lower than 90% of other independent schools in London.
This is an exciting time for NMS. We maintain our not-for-profit ethos. Our vision that excellent education does not have to cost the earth is being more widely understood. Pupil numbers are growing in both settings, and we continue to send many of our Year 6 pupils to the top senior schools in London (many winning scholarships and awards along the way).
Our much-appreciated patrons continue to be most generous, and the Fishmongers’ Faraday Award has proved to be an outstanding success. We are thrilled to be providing an excellent education, not just to families who choose it for their children, but to others who are unable to access our schools without financial help.
As we head towards our birthday next year, it is worth remembering the original philanthropic vison of the NMS founders: to provide an excellent, ambitious, great-value education for children. I look forward to building on their success in the years to come.
